On Monday 13th thew crew were called in to unload the truck, we got in for 09:00 and started to clear the theatre. While we were clearing the theatre, we got a call from PRG informing us that the truck had broken down and that they would try to get us the things we asked for, but they might not be able to but if they couldn’t then they would make sure that it would get to us the next day. In the meantime, we set up the lighting and sound desks. In the end they couldn’t deliver the things that day.

Because the truck couldn’t deliver on the Monday, we had to unload the truck on the Tuesday. When the truck arrived, we unloaded it and moved everything up into the theatre. While most of us set up the LED screens the lighting team got to work pre-plotting the show.

 

15/02/2023 – 17/02/2023

 

From the Wednesday to the Friday, we spent pre-plotting numbers, setting levels, sourcing music and sound effects, creating AV content and making all cues MIDI controlled.

 

27/02/2023

 

On the Monday we did a run through of the show. While we did a run through the costumes were finished and brought over and the cast tried the costumes on.

 

28/02/2023 – 03/03/2023

 

From the Tuesday to the Friday, we spent plotting and running numbers and updating the cues to make sure that Stephen liked the states and cues. In the evenings I also painted the 3 light deck to have a crown on each and then painted the rest black.

On the last day before the show we did a full costume run through took notes applied them and ran specific scenes that were causing problems.

 

07/03/2023

 

I called in the cast and crew for midday so that we could do a run through before the show that evening, after the rehearsal notes were given to the appropriate people so they could fix them before the show. During the show I was informed that the transpore tape holding someone’s mic in place had come loose and the side of stage crew needed more which I had to run down to them.

 

08/03/2023

 

I called in the cast and crew for midday so that we could do a run through before the show that evening, after the rehearsal notes were given to the appropriate people so they could fix them before the show. Once front of house was cleared and the show started, I discovered that the entrance was flooded due to the snow that started to fall. In the end I managed to mop most of it up and placed a wet floor sign on the floor to warn people after the show.

 

09/03/2023

 

I got into the college early to prepare for the school matinee but when I got there, I found out that half the cast couldn’t get to the college because of the snow that had been falling all night. I spoke to matt, and he said that we would have to cancel the show ant to tell the cast and crew not to come in.

On This Monday we packed down the theatre and loaded up PRG’s truck that had to be returned on the Monday.
